Ingredients

pinch freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup (50 mL) PC MEMORIES OF Kobe Tamari Garlic Sauce
1/4 cup (50 mL) PC Mayonnaise - Made with Whole Eggs
1/2 tsp (2 mL) PC MEMORIES OF Kobe Tamari Garlic Sauce
2 boneless sirloin beef steaks each about 6 oz/175 g
1 clove fresh garlic finely minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat barbecue.
  2. In shallow glass baking dish, pour 1/4 cup (50 mL) sauce over steaks; turn to coat. Let stand 2 minutes.
  3. Place steaks on greased grill, discarding any sauce left in dish. Close lid. Cook over medium-high heat for 4 minutes per side or until medium-rare. Transfer to serving platter. Tent with foil and let stand 5 minutes.
  4. Make aioli: In small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, garlic and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) sauce.
  5. Sprinkle steaks with pepper and serve with aioli.

 

Chef's Tips

A steak cooked medium-rare will feel like the fleshy part between your thumb and index finger when you press it.
