One of Canada’s natural food resources – maple syrup – lends its flavour to this quick-and-easy grilled chicken dish to serve with boiled new potatoes and grilled mixed mushrooms.

Ingredients

1/2 cup (125 mL) PC 100% Pure Canola Oil
1/2 cup (125 mL) PC 100% Pure Maple Syrup
3 tbsp (45 mL) PC Splendido Balsamic Vinegar of Modena - Two Leaf
2 tbsp (25 mL) PC Horseradish Dijon
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 tsp (5 mL) coarsely ground black pepper
6 PC Blue Menu Air Chilled Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts

Instructions

  1. In shallow glass baking dish, whisk together oil, maple syrup, vinegar, mustard, garlic and pepper. Add chicken breasts; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat barbecue to medium-high heat.
  3. Place chicken on greased grill, discarding remaining marinade. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side or until cooked through.

Chef's Tips

Chicken can be marinated overnight.
