Ingredients

1/3 cup (75 mL) PC MEMORIES OF Kobe Tamari Garlic Sauce
3 tbsp (45 mL) PC Organics Pure Honey
3 tbsp (45 mL) PC Pure Sesame Oil
1 striploin steak (about 10 oz/300 g)
1/2 English cucumber cut in half lengthwise and thinly sliced
2 cups (500 mL) red cabbage shredded
2 green onions diagonally sliced
2 tomatoes each cut in 8 wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat BBQ to medium-high. In shallow glass dish, marinate steak in 2 tbsp (25 mL) of Memories sauce for 10 minutes.
  2. Place steak on greased grill. Cook 4 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Place on cutting board. Tent with foil; let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in small bowl, whisk together remaining Memories sauce, honey and sesame oil. In another bowl, toss cucumber, cabbage, green onion and tomatoes. Add dressing; toss to coat.
  4. Slice steak thinly across the grain. Add steak to salad: toss to combine. Mound on serving platter.

 

Chef's Tips

To use leftover Kobe sauce, thread strips of flank steak cut across the grain onto soaked bamboo skewers; brush with sauce and grill or broil until cooked through.
