Instead of a hot drink after supper, for a change of pace try this sweet gingery cool drink. Especially refreshing on a hot summer’s evening, and caffeine-free.

3 cups (750 mL) water
4 no name Cinnamon Stick
1/4 cup (50 mL) PC Honey & Ginger Spread


  1. In saucepan, combine water and cinnamon sticks. Cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. 
  2. Remove and discard cinnamon sticks. Stir in honey spread. Pour into a pitcher. Chill until cold, about 2 hours. 
  3. Pour chilled sipper into small, crushed ice-filled glasses. Serve immediately.

Chef's Tips

Freeze to make a granita, if desired.
