We’ve made a low fat creamy coleslaw by substituting plain yogurt for the usual full fat mayonnaise. Prepackaged coleslaw mix is a great time-saver; look for it in the produce section.

1 pkg (454 g) coleslaw mix
1 cup (250 mL) PC Blue Menu Finesse Plain Yogurt
6 tbsp (90 mL) PC Blue Menu Mayonnaise Type dressing
1/4 cup (50 mL) finely chopped green onions
3 tbsp (45 mL) PC Organics Pure Honey
2 tbsp (25 mL) whole grain Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground PC Sea Salt & Black Peppercorn Grinder


  1. Place coleslaw mix in large bowl. In another bowl, whisk together yogurt, dressing, green onions, honey, mustard and grinder. Pour over coleslaw mix; toss to coat.

Chef's Tips

Make up to four hours ahead of serving; store in refrigerator.

Delicious as a side dish with prepared PC Blue Menu Reduced Fat Breaded Chicken Strips, with a wedge of lemon.
