Crunchy granola and creamy butterscotch sauce combine deliciously in this kid-friendly dessert. Serve warm, with the ice cream melting in.

Ingredients

2 baking apples, such as Cortland, Golden Delicious or Spy
1/2 cup (125 mL) PC Blue Menu Raisin & Almond Granola Cereal
1/3 cup (75 mL) PC Old Fashioned Butterscotch Ice Cream and Dessert Topping
4 scoops PC Cream First Ice Cream - Vanilla Bean

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F (200° C).
  2. Cut apples in half lengthwise. Remove cores. Place cut side up in 8-inch (2 L) square glass baking dish. If apples do not sit flat, cut small slice from bottoms so they will sit flat. In bowl, stir together granola and butterscotch topping; spoon evenly over apples. Cover dish with foil.
  3. Bake in centre of oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil; bake another 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm, topped with scoop of ice cream. Drizzle with extra butterscotch topping, if desired.

 

 

Chef's Tips

If your family doesn’t like raisins, substitute PC Blue Menu Granola Cereal- Original.
