This twist on a deli classic offers a less fatty option than a traditional Reuben sandwich. If you don’t have a panini press, crisp in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat just like a grilled cheese.

Ingredients

4 Blue Menu Thins - Whole Grain Round White Buns
8 oz (250 g) deli sliced PC Blue Menu Oven Roasted Turkey Breast
2 slices PC Havarti Light Cheese Sliced , each cut in half
½ cup (125 mL) drained sauerkraut, squeezed dry
¼ cup (50 mL) PC Blue Menu Ranch Dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat panini press to medium-high heat.
  2. Place bottom halves of PC Blue Menu Thins on work surface. Divide turkey into four portions; place one on each bun. Follow with a half slice of cheese and 2 tbsp (25 mL) sauerkraut. Spread 1 tbsp (15 mL) ranch dressing on cut side of each bun top; place tops on sandwiches.
  3. Grill in panini press for 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and buns are lightly crisped. Serve immediately.
