1/4 cup (125 mL) no name Cornstarch
1/4 cup (50 mL) PC 100% Pure Safflower Oil
1/4 cup (50 mL) PC Blue Menu MEMORIES OF Szechwan Spicy Peanut Satay Sauce
1 pkg (454 g) medium tofu
1 green onion, thinly sliced


  1. Drain tofu. Cut lengthwise into four equal slices. Place flat on double thickness tea towel. Cover with double thickness tea towel. Let stand for 15 minutes. Gently pat tofu dry.
  2. In large nonstick frying pan, heat oil over medium heat until hot. Generously coat tofu with cornstarch. Place in hot oil. Fry until crispy and lightly coloured, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towel.
  3. Place each slice on dinner plate. Drizzle with peanut sauce and sprinkle with green onions. Serve immediately.
