It’s a rib-fest, all right. Meat so tender it falls off the bone (see our cooking secret), in a smoky BBQ sauce that’s family-friendly.

Additional Information

2 racks pork back ribs, each about 1-1/4 lb (625 g)
Half lemon, sliced
1 tsp (5 mL) salt
1 1/4 cups (300 mL) PC Barbecue Sauce - Original

  1. Place ribs, lemon and salt in large saucepan. Add cold water to cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, cover and cook for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat barbecue.
  3. Drain ribs; brush 1 cup (250 mL) of barbecue sauce over both sides of ribs. Place on greased grill over medium heat; close lid. Cook until glazed and grill-marked, about 9 to 11 minutes per side. Remove from grill. Brush with remaining BBQ sauce. Slice between ribs and serve.

Chef's Tips

Much of the sauce is applied to the ribs once they come off the BBQ. This prevents the sauce from burning and keeps the ribs moist.
