Additional Information

1 1/4 cups (300 mL) 2% milk
2 cups (500 mL) PC Organics All Purpose Flour - Unbleached
1/2 cup (125 mL) chilled PC Organics Salted Fresh Churned Butter , cut in cubes
1 cup (250 mL) shredded PC Organics Medium Cheddar Cheese
1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar
1 tbsp (15 mL) baking powder

    1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. In large bowl, sift together flour, sugar and baking powder. With pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. With wooden spoon, stir in cheese. Stir in milk just until moistened. Do not overmix. Using 1/4 cup (50 mL) measure, drop batter in mounds onto prepared baking sheet, spacing mounds well apart. Makes 12 scones.
    3. Bake in centre of oven for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden. Cool on rack slightly before serving.
