Extra Helping™ National Food Drives
One of our Highest Priorities is Providing Food for People in Need
Did you know that in 2010, Ontario food banks assisted more than 400,000 individuals and 37 per cent of them were children?
To provide support in the fight against hunger, Zehrs holds two Extra Helping™ Food Drives each year, one in the spring and one throughout the winter holiday season.
During the 2010 Extra Helping™ Holiday National Food Drive campaign, Zehrs stores raised over $213,000 in food and cash donations for food banks throughout Ontario. The 2010 Extra Helping™ Holiday Food Drive also featured specially labeled soup cans for five and ten dollars representing the items most needed by local food banks – it was a quick and easy way for customers to donate during the drive.
